About the Role
A passionate DevOps Engineer is required by a market leading technology company in Utrecht. On a daily basis, the DevOps Engineer will be given the opportunity of developing high-performance, scalable cloud-based solutions and demonstrating their wizardry of IAC best-practices in an autonomous, and flexible company culture.
Requirements
The DevOps Engineer will have extensive experience working as part of a cross-functional infrastructure and cloud operation team, supporting high-availability platforms within enterprise environments using technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenStack, Terraform and Ansible.
It is essential that the DevOps Engineer has a proven track-record in infrastructure-as-code (IaC), continuous integration, automation, and supporting cross-platform, cross-tier architectural design, inline with defined best practice, and coding / scripting standards.
To summarise the DevOps Engineer will ideally have experience in the following areas:
Very familiar with large private and public cloud estates (AWS, Azure and / or OpenStack)
Deep knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using tools such as Kubernetes (K8s)
Strong experience working in Enterprise Infrastructure teams
Strong hands-on experience with Linux-based system administration (Redhat, CentOS, and / or Debian)
Automation wherever possible (using tools such as Ansible, Puppet and / or Chef)
Containers using Docker and / or Terraform is a major plus
It would highly be advantageous if you have experience with other development principles such as automated testing, Test Driven Development, and Agile.
Experience in other open source technologies such as Memcache, Varnish, Apache, or MongoDB is desirable but not essential.
