Our client, a well-established technology-driven business, is looking for a Security Analyst to help strengthen its security posture and safeguard critical systems, services and information assets.
Requirements
Working as part of a collaborative IT function, you will play a key role in identifying risks, monitoring threats, investigating security events and supporting the continuous improvement of cyber security controls across the organisation.
As a Security Analyst, you'll be responsible for helping detect, assess and respond to a wide range of cyber security risks and incidents. You'll work closely with technical teams, operational stakeholders and governance functions to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed, threats are understood and appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.
Key responsibilities include:
Monitoring and assessing emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities
Supporting incident investigation, containment and response activities
Analysing security alerts, logs and intelligence feeds
Prioritising remediation actions based on business risk
Assisting with vulnerability management and security improvement initiatives
Collaborating with internal technical teams and external security partners
Contributing to the development of cyber security policies, controls and best practices

Essential skills include:
Commercial experience within cyber security, information security or a related technical role
Understanding of common attack techniques, including phishing, malware, DDoS attacks and social engineering
Experience with vulnerability assessment and pentesting tools such as Burp, Wireshark, Nessus, or Metasploit etc
Knowledge of IDS/IPS technologies and Endpoint Detection & Response solutions
Familiarity with SIEM platforms, logging and event analysis
Good understanding of networking principles including routing, switching and firewall technologies
Experience supporting Windows, Linux and/or macOS environments
