A Senior C++ Software Engineer is required by Signum People’s major Investment Banking client in Central London. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have extensive experiecne with low-latency systems this would could be for you.

Requirements

As a Senior C++ Software Engineer you will be responsible for designing and developing distributed low-latency investment banking applications and possess an in depth knowledge of C++ and Linux / Unix.


The Senior C++ Software Engineer  will have a proven track-record developing front-office FX e-trading platforms using C++ and Linux / Unix, placing a major focus on multi-threaded, high availability, and distributed architecture.


Alongside exceptional eFX, C++, and Linux / Unix expertise, the Senior C++ Software Engineer will also ideally be able to leverage their understanding of Java, SQL, XML, and TCP/IP within this ambitious, global FX trading team.


To summarise, the Senior C++ Software Engineer will have skills and competencies in the following areas:


Essential


- C++ Development

- High-availability, enterprise Linux / Unix environments

- Trading systems and Algorithm development

- Distributed low latency and multi-threaded domains


Highly Desirable


- Knowledge of Java, SQL, XML, and TCP/IP

- Messaging Middleware concepts and FIX protocol


As the position will focus on developing our client’s FX Trading platforms, strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are also a must.
